Why Replace the Pushrod Housing and Seals?

The pushrod shroud tube provides a sealed passage for the engine's pushrod assembly between the crankcase and cylinder. Over time, the tube and its seals can deteriorate from heat, vibration, age, corrosion, repeated cylinder removal, and engine service.

Worn seals are a common source of oil seepage around the cylinder and pushrod tube area. Replacing the housing and sealing components together helps restore a clean, dependable seal while reducing the chance of having to disassemble the area again to replace an old seal.
