When Should a Pushrod Housing Be Replaced?

Pushrod housings can become bent, dented, corroded, cracked, or damaged during cylinder removal and installation. Damage to the housing or its sealing surfaces can contribute to oil leakage around the pushrod tube assembly.

When replacing a housing, inspect the associated pushrod housing seals, retainers, springs and sealing surfaces and replace worn components as necessary.
